Our family’s story in Knysna began as wide-eyed visitors in 1995 and blossomed into a passion for the region – a passion we now share through the inviting spaces of Waves & Whales.

Beyond the pool, you will also find beautifully maintained gardens perfect and a children’s play area. These shared spaces are designed for relaxation and connection, so please help us keep them tidy and enjoyable for all.
Step into the garage and unlock your own treasure trove of holiday essentials! Here, you will find not just an extra fridge and a deep freezer for all your snacks, seafood, and ice cream dreams, but also the magical “beach corner” – your gateway to sun-soaked adventure!
You will find comfortable fold-out beach chairs, cooler boxes, vibrant umbrellas for instant shade and a small foldable beach tent for extra protection! There is treasure chest of beach toys for the little ones (or the young at heart!), body boards and fishing nets. Beach towels are in the Utility Cupboard in the apartment. Don’t forget your sunhat, sunblock and lots of water to keep you hydrated while on your beach adventure!
And for those moments when laundry calls your name (because spills and sandy adventures happen!), we’ve got you covered with everything you need to tackle the task in the laundry room, turning wash day into a breeze so you can get back to making memories in no time. A washing machine and tumble dryer in the laundry room, making it easy to keep your beachwear fresh throughout your stay.
You will also find a washing line inside the laundry area, perfect for drying smaller items, as well as an additional outdoor washing line tucked around the back of the apartment – ideal for airing out swimsuits, towels, or sun-soaked linens after a day by the sea. With these handy amenities, you can pack light and enjoy that just washed feeling every day of your holiday.

You have secure undercover parking on site for two vehicles in the garage and you will find the remote tucked away in the utility cupboard inside the apartment, ready and waiting. And if you are thinking of inviting friends over for sundowners on the patio, a sizzling braai, or a kitchen cook-up, you are in luck – there’s extra parking available for your guests, so the more, the merrier!
Whether you are hosting an impromptu sunset gathering or a laughter-filled evening indoors, there’s space for everyone to join in the fun and soak up the magic of Brenton-on-Sea together. Once you have parked, you can rest easily knowing your four-wheeled friend is safe and sound while you soak in the sea breeze and sunset!

Award-winning honey made from local fynbos by one of Brenton-on-Sea’s very own angels – Honey Child! She welcomes adults and kids alike for a fun and fascinating tour of her charming honey farm.
There’s no charge for the experience, and we are happy to help arrange a visit – it’s utterly worth it! Supporting her by purchasing a jar or two of her delicious honey is the sweetest way to say thank you. A fresh loaf of artisan bread baked locally and perfect for breakfast on the deck. Pair it with our honey and a warm cup of coffee or tea as the sun rises – a truly peaceful way to start your day.
