Timbila Game Lodge

Timbila Game Lodge is an untamed luxury lodge located in Limpopo, and 20 minutes from the Kruger National Park. Our private reserve is dominated by over a hundred Cape buffaloes, and predators roam — especially numerous leopards and hyenas. Come explore a land teeming with wildlife, a rich variety of antelopes including sables, nyalas, massive kudus, waterbucks, bushbucks, oryx, wildebeests, and rarities like Sharpe’s Grysboks. You’ll also encounter giraffes, zebras, fish eagles, vibrant kingfishers, monitor lizards — and even the closest living relative of the elephant: the timbila, also known as the dassie, a charming creature reminiscent of European marmots.

Accommodation is offered in 3 African Chalets and 3 Safari Luxe Tents. The African Chalet offers a versatile and comfortable retreat, featuring a king-size bed that can be converted into twin beds—ideal for couples or friends travelling together. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. A private patio with an outdoor dining area for 2 provides the perfect spot to unwind.

The Safari Luxe Tent provides a peaceful escape with beautiful views of the surrounding mountain and river. It also includes a convertible king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet. The private patio with a dining table for 2 is the ideal spot for soaking in the sights and sounds of the bush.

The lodge also features a welcoming bar and lounge with a cosy fireplace, creating the perfect setting to unwind after a day of exploration.
