This stunning luxury lodge sleeps a maximum of 4 adults and 4 kids in three large bedrooms, all of whom have en-suite bathrooms (please note; the third room is a dorm room furnished with 4 single beds, and bath only, no shower). Alternatively, Fish Eagle Lodge can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults, and 2 children. The large lounge and dining room flow onto a huge ‘House and Leisure’ like undercover furnished patio with a fireplace. The lodge is elevated giving it unsurpassed views of the valley, over water and green pastures finally resting on the majestic softness of the Langeberg mountains. Relax in comfy chairs and watch your kids frolick in the water below.
There is seating for 12 at mealtimes for those occasions when friends and family have booked other cottages on the farm and are joining you for a gathering. The lodge is lovingly furnished with genuine Cape Cottage antiques, creating an authentic and relaxed farmhouse atmosphere. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a large indoor fireplace and outdoor undercover braai. Rose Cottage boasts the most privacy on the farm as it set on the left off the road, and has uninterrupted mountain and pasture views. The main bedroom is large so can easily sleep mom, dad and one or two kids with granny and grandpa occupying the other bedroom.

Little Bushbuck is an open-plan cottage furnished with 1 x double bed and 1 x single single daybed for a child under 12. This charming studio type cottage sits right above the large spring-fed lake. It has one large open plan room with a double bed and a day bed for a child, a small eating table and a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, gas hob, kettle, toaster and all cooking and eating utensils. It has a large inside fireplace that can be used for bracing as well heating for a cozy indoor fire.
A small undercover patio overlooks the lake. Nearby on the grass banks of the lake is a barbeque area with seating. Please note that Little Bushbuck is located next to the foefie slide so you can expect some walk by traffic on the path behind it, and some noise as a result. Please note the 5th bedroom (downstairs) is furnished with 2 singles and only suitable for children, and the 6th bedroom (upstairs) is a dorm room with 6 singles in it (not near any of the bathrooms), only suitable for children. With children, the Manor can sleep 8 adults and 8 kids at maximum capacity. Ask us about our Retreats, Corporate Events, Functions, Birthdays and Special Occasions. Somerset Gift can sleep approximately 34 guests across our six guest houses/ cottages. There are also other neighbouring farms with self-catering cottages. Swellendam with all its guesthouses is a mere 15km away.
We also allow sleeping tents to be erected as part of your wedding or retreat and charge these as follows. R200 per night per 2-man tent, R400 per night per 4-man tent.
We do not charge a Venue Fee. We don’t have the staff capability to help with setting up or breaking down. For events we require that all our cottages are booked for a minimum of two nights. Which will offer you exclusive use of the farm and all its facilities.
