Kubu Lodge offers luxury self-catering accommodation in a bushveld setting with stunning views over a waterhole. The lodge is located within the greater Mabalingwe Nature Reserve. The reserve is known for its beautiful bushveld landscapes and diverse wildlife, giving guests the opportunity to view an abundance of animals, including hippos, buffalo, rhino, a variety of antelope species, and elephants.
Kubu Lodge features 4 bedrooms, accommodating up to 8 guests. Three of the bedrooms have queen-size beds, while the fourth bedroom has 2 single beds that can be converted, if so required. Each bedroom has a private balcony with water views, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. Additionally, each bedroom has an outdoor shower with bushveld views.
The lodge is a luxury self-catering unit, with a fully equipped modern kitchen. Guests can relax in the spacious upstairs and downstairs living areas or enjoy cocktails on the viewing deck, which features a swimming pool and braai area with beautiful views over the waterhole Our guests can observe occasional hippos, elephants, and various other wildlife species from the deck. The lodge offers wi-fi, full bouquet DSTV and is serviced daily.
Game drives, game vehicles and on-site spa sessions can be arranged on request and at an additional cost. Guests can also explore the reserve at their own risk by driving, walking or mountain biking within certain designated areas.

He has worked at a couple of prestigious establishments including State Theatre Pretoria and the world-famous Pride of Africa Rovos Rail as manager and Executive Chef. Hennie is the recipient of two international awards and has worked for the United Nations in Northern Africa.
