on the outskirts of the agricultural village of Caledon in the Overberg. Mill Street is a National Heritage site and the Bath River Bridge in the same street, is a national monument. As it used to be the entrance to the village for farmers and travelers from the Swellendam district.
Caledon is also famous for its hot springs and has attracted visitors for pleasure and health since the 1700’s. Today the town plays an important role in the agricultural community with farmlands of wheat, barley and canola that surround it.
The venue is set on 2 hectares of landscaped garden with a beautiful roman pool guarded by old oak trees on the banks of the Bath River. Caledon mineral rich water from the hot springs flows down the Bath River.
We can also cater for intimate small weddings at the Caledon Grace, but if you are celebrating big we are also the perfect venue for memorable guest accommodation for beautiful weddings. Kept at The One Heaven and Earth, De Oudekraal, Liefland and Die Woud. Special birthdays, celebrations, or just to get together with friends or colleagues. Accommodation is offered in 5 beautifully and uniquely decorated en-suite guest rooms in the house, and a free-standing garden cottage. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, electric blanket, tea and coffee tray, and a desk and chair. The garden cottage also has a self-catering kitchenette, a wraparound, partially enclosed stoep with seating and a fireplace. The guest rooms and the cottage offer free Wi-Fi internet access.
Guests staying at Caledon Grace guest house have access to the living room and dining room in the main house. The swimming pool is also available to guests. Parking is safe and within our gated property, and keys with a remote control for the gate are provided on arrival.
